 Nikhat Zareen has won the world Boxing Championship 


India's Nikhat Zareen defeated Thi Tam Ngun of Vietnam in the 50 kg category of the Women's World Boxing Championship.  Nikhat has achieved this victory by a margin of 5-0, India's 26-year-old Nikhat Zareen has won the World Boxing Championship again, while Vietnam's 28-year-old Thi Tam Nguyen has been a two-time Asian champion.







Nikhat Zareen is an Indian amateur boxer, born on 14 June 1996 in Nizamabad, Telangana. She started boxing when she was just 13 years old, and since then, she has been a prominent figure in the Indian boxing scene.

Zareen's boxing career began in 2011 when she won a silver medal at the 2nd Nations Cup International Boxing Tournament held in Serbia. She then went on to win numerous medals in national and international tournaments, including a gold medal at the Strandja Memorial Boxing Tournament in Bulgaria in 2019.


In 2016, Zareen won the gold medal in the 51kg category at the National Women's Boxing Championships. She followed it up with another gold medal at the same tournament in 2017. She also won a bronze medal at the 2018 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships held in New Delhi.


One of the most notable moments in Zareen's career was her much-publicized showdown with six-time world champion MC Mary Kom in the Indian Boxing Federation's trials for the 2020 Olympic qualifiers. The trials were held in December 2019, and despite losing to Mary Kom, Zareen put up a strong fight and gained a lot of respect from the boxing community.


Zareen has been training under the guidance of Indian boxing legend Mohammed Ali Qamar at the Inspire Institute of Sport in Bellary, Karnataka. She has also been a recipient of the prestigious Arjuna Award in 2020, which is one of India's highest sporting honors.


Overall, Nikhat Zareen has been a prominent figure in Indian boxing, and she has proven her mettle time and again in various national and international tournaments. She is considered to be one of the most promising boxers in India and is expected to continue making waves in the boxing world in the years to come.
